Karaoke Night

Last night was the amazing Amanda’s birthday. We all went out to Do Re Mi in Allston and sang our guts out for like an hour and half, after shot-gunning beers and doing whiskey shots. Sadly, Rilwan was working but it was great to go out with my new roommates and celebrate and be drunk and have fun with them. I didn’t feel out of place or like I was just Rilwan’s girlfriend. I felt like I am friends with everybody too (which I guess I am haha).

They always ride bikes and I don’t have one right now but it was really cool because there are like a bunch of extras in the house so Eric gave me Betty this nice girls bike he’s been meaning to fix up. They decked me out with a helmet and light and Eric took the lead with Mike behind me so I wouldn’t get lost or left behind. They both kept checking on me and it was cute and comforting. Honestly though, I don’t know how we all made it there and back with only two accidents (Mike fell off when his gear skipped and Eric hit a parked car on the way back… even more drunk). 

I sang Don’t You (Forget About Me) with Eric and Mike. Waterfalls and Survivor with Amanda, her friend, and Michelle. And tried to add a little to Mr. Jones with Skeet and everyone else. Even the ride back around Jamaica Pond was great even though it was so cold!

And the best part was coming home to birthday cake and beer, and Rilwan. Amazingly enough, after work and drinking when we got back, we stayed up in bed talking until 6am. It was the most amazing night I’ve had in a long time and I’m so excited that I did it.

Oh, and let’s not forget the awesome family breakfast this morning too. Love.
